Dhaka, 20 January 2026 – Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has unveiled key nationwide policies and plans at its ‘Policy Summit 2026’. The summit highlighted initiatives across health, education, youth development, agriculture, and ICT sectors.
Key Announcements So Far:
1.Allocation of 6–8% of GDP to the health sector.
2.Launch of a Smart Social Security Card integrating NID, TIN, health, and social services.
3.Waiver of gas, electricity, and water charges in all industries for the first three years.
4. Interest-free loans for farmers.
5. Two-year interest-free loans of BDT 10,000 per month for 500,000 graduates.
6.Monthly BDT 10,000 loans for 100,000 merit-based students.
7.Sending 100 students annually to top global universities on interest-free government loans.
8.Merger of Eden and Badreunnesa Colleges to establish the world’s largest women’s university.
9.Free healthcare for children under 5 and senior citizens above 60.
10.Reopening of closed factories under public–private partnership with 10% ownership allocated to workers.
11..Establishment of 64 specialized hospitals across 64 districts.
12.Free food provision for all children.
13.Under the ‘First Hundred Days Program’, free services and support for pregnant women and mothers.
Youth-Focused Plans:
14.Creation of a new ministry for skilled workforce development and job placement.
15.Market-based skill training for 10 million youth over five years.
16.Establishment of ‘Youth Tech Labs’ for graduates in every sub-district.
17.Formation of ‘District Job Youth Banks’ in all districts to provide 5 million job opportunities in five years.
18.Support for 500,000 entrepreneurs prioritizing women, youth, and marginalized groups.
19.Development of 1.5 million freelancers.
20.Skill development programs tailored for low-educated youth.
ICT and Vision 2040:
21.Announcement of ‘Vision 2040’ for ICT sector development.
22.Creation and placement of 2 million ICT jobs by 2030.
23.Establishment of a National Payment Gateway to boost freelancing and digital exports.
24.Targeting $5 billion export earnings from the ICT sector.
25.Government savings of $1.5 billion in ICT expenditure.
