The Sundarbans Press Club of Munshiganj in Shyamnagar has successfully regained its momentum within a short period under strong leadership. As part of this progress, the Press Club organized a three-day tour to the Sundarbans and Mandarbari Sea Beach with the participation of its member journalists.
The objective of this tour was to strengthen mutual harmony among journalists, enhance their understanding of the natural environment, and further reinforce the role of the media in protecting the Sundarbans.
The tour was attended by the President of the Sundarbans Press Club, Belal Hossain, General Secretary G. M. Masum Billah, along with all club members and journalists from various media outlets.
During the tour, President Belal Hossain stated that the Sundarbans is not just a forest, but a vital reservoir of the country’s environment and biodiversity. He added that such trips by journalists would help raise greater public awareness about nature conservation.
General Secretary G. M. Masum Billah, in his remarks, said that the tour was organized to strengthen unity and professional bonds among journalists, while also providing an opportunity to closely observe the real conditions of the Sundarbans.
Participating journalists expressed that such initiatives not only offer mental refreshment but also inspire renewed enthusiasm in fulfilling their professional responsibilities. They also voiced hope that the Sundarbans Press Club would continue organizing similar activities in the future.
