The election countdown is on! Only six days remain until the 13th National Parliamentary Election. In the high-voltage contest among three major candidates, no one is lagging behind. As part of continuous campaign activities, the BNP-led alliance candidate with the Sheaf of Paddy symbol, Maulana Rashid Ahmed, brought out a massive procession on Thursday afternoon (January 5) at Manirampur Bazar.
Before the procession, following the Asr prayer, Maulana Rashid Ahmed addressed the gathering, saying, “Dear attendees, your presence ensures our victory, Insha’Allah.”
To avoid traffic congestion, the previously postponed rally began from the Micro Stand in Manirampur Municipality and, in a disciplined manner, marched through key intersections of the Jessore–Satkhira Highway, concluding at the North Matha Goruhat intersection.
Leaders and activists present in the procession—claimed to reflect a wave of public support for the Sheaf of Paddy—included Upazila BNP General Secretary Md. Asaduzzaman Mintoo, Central Volunteer Team leader Iftekhar Selim Agni, Upazila BNP leader Shamchuzzaman Shanto, Durbadanga Union BNP President Md. Altaf Hossain, Shahin Hossain, along with leaders and supporters from various BNP-affiliated organizations at the upazila level.
