The upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election is scheduled to be held on February 12, and election campaigns across the country are gaining momentum. As part of this nationwide campaign, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islamiânominated parliamentary candidate and former Deputy Commissioner Md. Shah Alam Bokshi has officially launched his election campaign in Gazipur-1 (Kaliakair) constituency.
With the slogan âLetâs Build Bangladesh Together,â a brief discussion meeting followed by a large-scale campaign procession was held on Thursday, January 22, at 10:30 AM in front of the Kaliakair Upazila Model Mosque. The event witnessed the participation of thousands of people from different areas of Kaliakair Upazila.
The campaign featured a massive procession in support of Jamaat-e-Islamiâs election symbol, the Scales (Daripalla). Md. Shah Alam Bokshi, the Jamaat candidate for Gazipur-1, was present as the chief guest. Leaders, activists of Jamaat-e-Islami, and a large number of general voters enthusiastically joined the rally and public gathering.
During the procession, the entire area became vibrant with slogans such as âWe want Allahâs law, we want honest leadership,â and âAll tests are over, now itâs the Scales for Bangladesh.â Participants also raised various other slogans expressing their support for the party and its candidate.
Addressing the gathering, Md. Shah Alam Bokshi stated that establishing good governance, justice, and a corruption-free society requires honest and capable leadership. He emphasized the need to transform Kaliakair into a model of development by eliminating corruption, extortion, and irregularities.
He further said that if Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami comes to power, ensuring the safety of peopleâs lives and property will be a top priority. The party remains committed to building a value-based society with improvements in education, healthcare, employment opportunities, and moral integrity.
Speakers at the event urged people from all walks of life to extend their full support to ensure the victory of Md. Shah Alam Bokshi in Gazipur-1. They called upon voters to cast their votes in favor of the Scales symbol to bring development, transparency, and ethical leadership to Kaliakair.
As part of the day-long activities, Jamaat-e-Islami leaders and activists also conducted door-to-door campaigns and public outreach in key areas of the constituency. The campaign concluded amid high enthusiasm and massive public participation.
