BGB Holds Public Awareness Meeting for Peaceful Election in Chuadanga

Ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election, a public awareness meeting was held on the initiative of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) to ensure peaceful voting, maintain law and order, enhance awareness in border areas, and ensure public safety.
The meeting took place on Saturday (31 January) at 5:00 PM at the field of Jiban Nagar Thana Pilot Secondary School, organized by Chuadanga-6 BGB.
The chief guest at the event was Colonel Md. Iftekhar Hossain, Sector Commander of BGB Kushtia Sector. Special guests included Lieutenant Colonel Nazmul Hasan, Commanding Officer of BGB-6 Battalion; Major Mohammad Masud Haider, Deputy Commanding Officer; and Mohammad Shamim Parvez, Assistant Director of BGB Kushtia Sector.
Leaders and activists from various political parties, local dignitaries, and general voters participated in the program.
In his speech, Chief Guest Colonel Md. Iftekhar Hossain said, “The national election is the largest democratic festival of the country. BGB remains at the highest level of alert to ensure voter safety, maintain a peaceful environment, and prevent any untoward activities.”
He added, “Our commitment is to ensure that you can exercise your voting rights freely and without fear.” He further stated, “Everyone must remain vigilant to prevent rumors, tensions, or propaganda in border areas. BGB stands by the people to keep the law and order situation normal during the election and will continue to do so.”
Speakers at the event urged the public to maintain peace and harmony and to cast their votes consciously and fearlessly for a peaceful election.
