Jamaat’s Election Rally and Massive “Scales” Procession Held in Habibpur, Kaliakair

Ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, a large election rally and a massive procession with the “Scales” symbol were held in Habibpur of Kaliakair under Gazipur-1 constituency (Kaliakair, Basan, Konabari). The program was organized in support of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami–led 11-Party Alliance–nominated MP candidate and former Deputy Commissioner, Md. Shah Alam Bokshi.
The election rally began at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, 4 February, at Habibpur under Ward No. 07 of Kaliakair Upazila. Following the rally, a large procession with the “Scales” symbol was brought out at 5:30 pm.
Md. Shah Alam Bokshi, the 11-Party Alliance–nominated MP candidate and former Deputy Commissioner, attended the rally as the chief guest. Among others present were Md. Shafi Uddin, Election Director for Gazipur-1 constituency and Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami, Gazipur District, along with leaders and activists from NCP, Islami Andolon, and other parties of the 11-Party Alliance.
Also present were Md. Belal Hossain Sarkar, Ameer of Kaliakair Upazila; Md. Anisur Rahman Anas, Ameer of Mouchak Union; Md. Shafiqul Rahman Shafik, President of Ward No. 07; Md. Jasim Uddin, Secretary; as well as a large number of leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir. Thousands of local residents from Mouchak Union also joined the program.
During the rally, speakers called upon voters to ensure victory for the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami–led 11-Party Alliance in the national parliamentary election by voting for Md. Shah Alam Bokshi with the “Scales” symbol. They stated that there should be no place in Bangladesh for extortionists, terrorists, land grabbers, rapists, those who harass women, or fraudsters involved in fake cards and deception.
The procession started from Habibpur Middle Para, passed through Jhikjhaka Field, and concluded at the main road of Safipur Ansar Academy.
