Fine of Tk 50,000 Imposed for Violation of Election Code of Conduct in Monirampur

Abu Raihan, Monirampur Correspondent: A mobile court has imposed a fine of Tk 50,000 for violating the election code of conduct after a road meeting under the Sheaf of Paddy symbol disrupted traffic movement and public life in Monirampur. The mobile court was conducted on Thursday evening (February 5) in front of the Monirampur Upazila Parishad by Mahir Dayan Amin, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Monirampur. The court found that during election campaigning, the provisions of the Election Rules 2025 were violated. A mobile court has imposed a fine of Tk 50,000 for violating the election code of conduct after a road meeting under the Sheaf of Paddy symbol disrupted traffic movement and public life in Monirampur.
The mobile court was conducted on Thursday evening (February 5) in front of the Monirampur Upazila Parishad by Mahir Dayan Amin, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Monirampur. The court found that during election campaigning, the provisions of the Election Rules 2025 were violated.
According to the order, BNP’s Monirampur Upazila General Secretary Asaduzzaman Mintu was fined Tk 50,000 (fifty thousand) under Section 27(a) for breaching Section 6(ঙ) of the Election Rules 2025.
Meanwhile, Monirampur Upazila Returning Officer Md. Samrat Hossain stated that the administration remains in a strict stance to ensure compliance with the restrictions announced by the Election Commission in the upcoming election.
