A large election rally organized by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was held on Friday evening at 6:40 PM in Nobo Bastupur of Ward No. 08 under Howli Union in Damurhuda Upazila of Chuadanga district.
The rally was attended as the chief guest by Md. Mahmud Hasan Khan Babu, the BNP-nominated candidate bearing the Sheaf of Paddy symbol for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election 2026 in Chuadanga-2 (Damurhuda–Darshana–Jibannagar) constituency.
The rally at Nobo Bastupur was presided over by Md. Moniruzzaman Monir, President of Damurhuda Upazila BNP, while the program was conducted by Md. Rafiqul Hasan Tanu, General Secretary of the Upazila BNP. The event was moderated by Md. Abdul Wahed, Vice President of Damurhuda Upazila BNP.
Among the special guests and speakers was Md. Abdul Matin, Ward President of BNP in Nobo Bastupur. Also present were Md. Sohel Rana, Joint Convener of Damurhuda Upazila Jubo Dal; Md. Amzad Hossain, Senior Vice President of Howli Union Krishak Dal; Md. Tarikul Islam, Joint Convener of Swechchhasebak Dal; along with party activists Raju Ahmed, Suman, Hasan Gazi, Ziaur Rahman, Sohan, and Mithun.
In his speech, chief guest Md. Mahmud Hasan Khan Babu said that ending corruption and illegal monetary transactions in the name of employment would be one of the first priorities of a BNP-led government. He added that if BNP comes to power, a strict nationwide anti-corruption drive against drugs and terrorism would be launched, starting from within the party itself.
He further stated that if elected as a Member of Parliament, initiatives would be taken to bear the necessary costs for job applications of meritorious students from the MP’s fund, so that no talented youth is left behind due to financial constraints. He pledged to establish education-friendly, employment-oriented, and welfare-based politics.
A large number of leaders and activists from BNP and its affiliated and associate organizations attended the rally. Speakers urged people from all walks of life to vote for the Sheaf of Paddy symbol and ensure the victory of BNP-nominated candidate Md. Mahmud Hasan Khan Babu in the upcoming national parliamentary election.
