Chuadanga District Correspondent:Coordination Meeting Held in Chuadanga Ahead of Upcoming Parliamentary Election and Referendum

A significant coordination meeting was held in Chuadanga involving the district administration and all law enforcement agencies to ensure the 13th National Parliamentary Election and Referendum–2026 are conducted in a free, fair, and festive atmosphere.
The meeting took place on Tuesday (10 February) at 12:30 PM at the conference room of the Chuadanga District Administrator’s office.
During the meeting, utmost importance was placed on ensuring voter security and creating a safe environment for voters to exercise their franchise without any hindrance.
In particular, detailed plans were discussed to establish a tight security framework through effective coordination among the district administration, police, Bangladesh Army, and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
Officials present at the meeting also outlined strategies for taking swift action to address any unforeseen or undesirable situations during the election period.
The meeting was presided over by and attended by key officials, including:
Brigadier General Shahidur Rahman Osmani, OSP, NDC, PSC, Commander, Headquarters 21 Infantry Brigade
Mohammad Kamal Hossain, District Administrator and Returning Officer, Chuadanga
Mohammad Monirul Islam, Superintendent of Police, Chuadanga
Ahmed Ali, District Election Officer, Chuadanga
Additionally, Judicial Magistrates, representatives from the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), National Security Intelligence (NSI), and senior officials of the Election Commission were present and presented their respective operational plans.
District Administrator Mohammad Kamal Hossain stated, “The administration is fully committed to delivering a free and fair election. To ensure that voters can go to polling centers without fear, center-based security measures will be strengthened.”
Brigadier General Shahidur Rahman Osmani assured full cooperation from the Bangladesh Army in maintaining law and order, stating that the army would work in close coordination with the civil administration to ensure peace and stability.
The meeting mainly emphasized three key issues:
Joint Patrols: Increasing coordinated patrols by the Army, Police, and BGB across the district before and after the election.
Intelligence Surveillance: Enhancing monitoring by NSI and DB to prevent the spread of rumors or attempts to create unrest surrounding the election.
Mobile Courts: Ensuring active deployment of mobile courts under Judicial Magistrates to control electoral offenses swiftly.
In conclusion, all participating officials expressed firm determination to establish Chuadanga as a model constituency by ensuring a peaceful, orderly, and credible election.
